Orion's Information:

Meet Orion! A Handsome, goofy boy that loves to be around humans and get lots of belly rubs. He is a larger husky, but full of affection. He is a little skiddish and looks to his foster Mom for protection when he is scared of things. He likes to play with other dogs but may be afraid when a dog first comes up to him. He is NOT a dominant-type dog. Orion is a typical husky in that he is mischievous, playful and a counter surfer. He likes to go for walks/runs and is pretty good on the leash for a husky. He is learning basic commands and would require continued training. Orion can see, but he has Nuclear Sclerosis, a normal eye condition with aging. If he was human he would need reading glasses. He may have trouble with stairs or obstacles in the dark, but is fine in the light. He was previously thought to be sight impaired, but it is due to his temperament, being insecure. He is crate trained and housebroken. He is so sweet and deserves a family that will give him the attention and love he deserves.

Sex: Male

Breed: Siberian Husky

Age: Approx 8 yrs old (But acts younger)

Level of blindness: Can see, but has Nuclear Sclerosis, normal for aging dogs

Cause of eye issues: Aging.

Health issues: None.

Weight: 65lbs

Good with dogs: YES

Good with cats: YES. He showed absolutely no aggression at all. he was more interested in everything else than the cat. He never pawed at it or the carrier. After Snowball was out of the carrier, I let Orion sniff it and he stuck his head in it sniffing, but that was all.

Good with kids: YES, but can get excited and mouthy

Currently being fostered in: Pennsylvania, but BDRA will arrange transport to an approved adopter.
