Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Desi
Name: Desophina (Desi)
Breed: Poodle mix
Sex: female
Spayed/Neutered: will be spayed and have a couple of mastectomy procedures the week of 21 Sept 2010
Age: approximately 4 years old
Level of blindness: complete in both eyes
Cause of eye issues: cataracts
Health issues: she has a level 3 heart murmur and currently has masses in her breasts that will be removed the week of 21 Sept 2010 and biopsied
Weight: 14 pounds
Good with dogs: not great. her first reaction with all dogs, male or female, is to be dog aggressive. She lives with a foster brother that she only growls at occasionally, and will stop if told to stop. She can be convinced to leave other dogs alone, but introductions with another dog need to start on a leash.
Good with cats: unknown
Good with kids: older kids, yes
Currently being fostered in: Pennsylvania -- BDRA will arange transpor to an approved adopter Information:
Desophina, "Desi" is a cute little girl. She is happy to be petted and will follow you all about the house. She loves belly rubs and will roll easily on her back to have you rub her belly. She likes toys and knows how to find one and show it to you when you come in the door. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is not the best with other dogs, her first reaction is to be aggressive, even if she just hears a dog moving close by she has an aggressive reaction. You can talk to her to calm her down and then she can be closer to the new dog, but introductions should start with both dogs on a leash. She loves her food and is starting to put on some needed weight. She is fully blind due to cataracts and does have masses in three of her breasts, it seems that she has had puppies in the past. She will be spayed in September 2010 and will have at least two mastectomies.
