Hera is a true goddess! She gets along wonderfully with her foster siblings (4 other Siberian Huskies). Hera is full of that sibe puppy energy that you will love.

Hera was born in November and is a purebred. She loves to play and play and play some more! She has a great personality, loves belly rubs (when she slows down enough to get them), is very good in her crate and has learned the sit, paw and wait commands, and she can even beg too. She needs to work on her release, but she will pick that up in no time!

On August 18th at a very young age of only 9 months old, this great little gal was diagnosed with juvenile cataracts. Just 5 days later, her family decided she was not for them and decided that she should be "put to sleep" ... How tragic that was! So BDRA step up to the plate and rescued another gentle soul.

In just a few short hours home, Hera has demonstrated that, though her vision maybe impaired, she can easily get around the world – today there was not one “bump” into anything … except a roving husky or two … or three … or four, but that would have been intentional and expected!

Her ophthalmologist says that she has good vision, despite the developing “Cadillacs”.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hera, a Wilmington Siberian Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Siberian Husky puppy from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
