Smokey's Story...
I’m a sweet loving boy named Smokey. No, not like Smokey the Bear, although you really should help prevent forest fires. I’m Smokey the dog. Not so long ago I had a home of my own, but my owner just couldn’t care for me any longer. I know he loved me, and I loved him too. Although I miss him, I’m grateful that he did what was best for me by allowing me to find a new home of my own. I do miss my big backyard where we used to run and play, but I’m ready to make new happy memories with my new family. I’m already housetrained, good with cats and other dogs, and I’m very well-behaved. What more could you ask for? I know what it’s like to have a loving family, and I’m so lonely without one. My hopeful eyes are searching for your love and kindness, and my heart is open to love my new family. (PLEASE NOTE: I can only be adopted in the DC Metropolitan area. There will be no exceptions to this policy.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Smokey, a Aldie Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
