Chewy's Story...
"Chewey is in a New England foster home and would love to meet you." My name is Chewy. I am a handsome 7 month old lab/mix neutered male. I am current on vaccinations and monthly heartworm. I am a very sweet energtic boy who likes to run, jump and take long walks. I am a fun loving pup who would do well being the only animal. I love to be center of attention. I am crate trained and house broken. I know basic commands but I am strong minded so I need someone to set boundaries and teach me I'm not the boss. With love and the right person and gudiance I will be your loyal companion forever. My fee has been reduced to $250.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewy, a Salem Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard for sale in Salem, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
