Marco's Story...
What a handsome fellow I am with my plume of a tail, big eyes and inquisitive nature. Being a very friendly and gentle soul, I enjoy the company of people and love to cuddle. True to my breed, I'm a good size boy, weighing about 141/2 lbs and am seeking a home with someone who'll give me all the loving attention I deserve. I'm just 3 years young and would do best in a quieter home (no small children, please). I might be OK with another low key cat but also would be thrilled to be your "one & only".... My first family was moving and couldn't take me with them...this time I'm looking for a "forever" family. Please note that my front paws were declawed and I must be an indoor only kitty Visit me in my Burke, VA foster home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marco, a Arlington Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
