Mickey - Peggy's Pup's Story...
I’m Mickey; my siblings and I are approximately 5 ½ months old as of November 16th. We are up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been de-wormed. I am the only male in the family and am ready to get out of the “girl” house! Our mom, Peggy, is a sweet, small beagle that was found as a stray just a couple of days before we were born on 6-3-10. Momma was so lucky that someone was willing to take her – then us – into her home in her condition. We are not sure about our breed from our dad’s side – we never met him and Momma isn’t talking…. The wonderful woman who took us in did so until we could find a home of our own. Momma Peggy was adopted by a loving family, now that we are getting big, it is time we found a loving home. I am an outgoing fella that loves to play and get petted. If you want to meet me or any of Peggy's pups, contact Floyd County Humane Society at 540-745-7207 & leave a message for Sunny or e-mail at floydhumane@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mickey - Peggy's Pup, a Floyd Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Labrador Retriever for sale in Floyd, or seeking a Beagle/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Floyd.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Floyd already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Floyd breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Floyd paves the way for another one to be saved.
