Ayden's Story...
Ayden is a 5 year old saddle horse stud (now gelded) who was abandoned at the Taylor County KY Stockyards. His feet were severely overgrown to the point where it contracted his heels in one foot. He has been seen by the farrier and vet regularly and with frequent care, we are now starting his saddle training! He is very shy and nervous around people, but is not at all aggressive. He is learning to trust and will require a patient and experienced handler. What a looker!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ayden, a Old Fort Saddlebred/Arabian was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Saddlebred/Arabian for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Saddlebred/Arabian from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Saddlebred/Arabian breeders who help with Saddlebred/Arabian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
