Rico's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rico's Story...
Rico was born in 2005. He is a "deer" Chihuahua, the largest size Chihuahua, although he weighs only 5 or 6 lbs. Rico is very found of women, gravitating to them immediately. It seems as though he may have been treated unkindly by a man when he was a puppy, although he showed no signs of abuse when he was first brought to us. Rico gets along fine with dogs and cats, but small children might be a bit much for him. Rico is pure-bred. If you buy a "deer" Chihuahua from a breeder you can expect to pay at least $800. Our adoption fee is $100. Rico has been with us quite awhile now. We cannot understand why someone hasn't taken him home. But maybe that person can be you! Rico will need someone who can give him plenty of exercise. He will enjoy walks on a leash and backyard play. Update: Rico is now living in Leoti, KS.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a Leoti Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Leoti, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Leoti.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Leoti already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Leoti breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Leoti paves the way for another one to be saved.
