Oil is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates rescue program. We are listing him as a courtesy for his owners. The following information has been provided by them:


Oli is a black and white male Siberian Husky who has just turned 1 year old. He has been neutered and is fully up to date with all of his immunizations. He is a very friendly and bouncy dog who loves people. We have had him since he was a puppy but unfortunately we cannot give him the attention he deserves as time goes on. Oli is on monthly heartworm and flea treatment. He is good with other dogs and has experience frequenting both day care and dog parks. He can get a little protective over balls and other toys when they have been thrown for him at the dog park, but it manifests itself as a leave it alone bark, rather than aggression. We can take food, treats and toys away from him, he has never shown aggression in this way. He is house trained, and will happily let you know when he wants to go outside. He is crate trained, although he has demonstrated that he is an escape artist from his crate so needs to have a lead clipped to the outside to stop him getting out at night.


He is good with children, my 3.5 year old plays a lot with him, sometimes he gets a bit over zealous but it’s not aggression just play. He loves being around people in general and does have a placid nature.


A fenced yard is required to adopt this dog and the height must be a minimum of 5 feet. We do not adopt dogs to homes with invisible fences.
