Fern's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Black & White Or Tuxedo | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Female | Hair: | Short |
Sex: Female
Type: DSH - black and white
Age Group: Adult
Special Status: Shy Cat
Date of Birth: January, 2006
Fern was rescued in the spring of 2007. She loves to have her back scratch and will let you hold her gently as you feed her temptation cat treats. Fern goes nuts for canned food and treats and this has been the key in gaining her trust with new people, as she does act very shy when meeting someone new. Fern does excellent with other cats and should ideally be adopted into a home as a companion to another cat.
Rescue Group Info...
We are a small group of volunteers who started this much needed organization in our area in December of 2003. Our dedication and love for what we do has helped make Happy Cat a trusted source to help the hundreds of stray, abandoned and feral cats around our community. Because Happy Cat is a relatively small rescue group, we have a limited amount of space to house our cats until permanent homes can be found. Therefore we are always in need of foster homes and safe places for these cats to stay on a temporary basis. Each cat that comes to us is special and deserving of not just a warm home but lot's of love too.
We have several of our cats on display in Calgary at Petsmart in the NE, along Sunridge Way. If there is a particular cat of interest to you, we can make arrangements for a meet and greet with one of our volunteers. Please email or call and we will contact you as soon as a volunteer is free.
Our adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $110 for an adult cat, and $90 for a senior cat (over 6) We also have special pricing for bonded pairs of cats which will be listed on the biographies of those particular cats. We ask that you please fill out our questionairre which is available on our website, and read the adoption contract as well. Once we receive your adoption questionairre we will have the adoption commitee review it and a volunteer will contact you within 24 hours. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
We rescue stray, feral and lost cats and kittens from Strathmore, Alberta and it's surrounding rural and small communities. We adopt our cats into wonderful homes all over Alberta, including Calgary.
