Sheldon's Story...
Sex: Male
Type: DMH Smokey Black
Age Group: Adult
Special Status: Shy Cat
Date of Birth: September, 2006

Sheldon was a feral kitten caught this past winter. He had 2 other siblings with him but after we trapped him, the others disappeared and we haven't seen them since. Sheldon has come a long way and is doing very well with his socializing. He still hisses from time to time but this is one gentle boy, never lifts a paw to anyone. He purrs automatically once you touch him and will meow at his foster mom for attention. He loves to be cuddled. Sheldon needs an owner who is willing to give him time and gentle persuasion to get him to trust a new person, but once he does he is very rewarding with his love. We would like Sheldon to be adopted into a quiet home.

About Happy Cat Sanctuary

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small group of volunteers who started this much needed organization in our area in December of 2003. Our dedication and love for what we do has helped make Happy Cat a trusted source to help the hundreds of stray, abandoned and feral cats around our community. Because Happy Cat is a relatively small rescue group, we have a limited amount of space to house our cats until permanent homes can be found. Therefore we are always in need of foster homes and safe places for these cats to stay on a temporary basis. Each cat that comes to us is special and deserving of not just a warm home but lot's of love too.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have several of our cats on display in Calgary at Petsmart in the NE, along Sunridge Way. If there is a particular cat of interest to you, we can make arrangements for a meet and greet with one of our volunteers. Please email or call and we will contact you as soon as a volunteer is free.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fee is $125 for a kitten, $110 for an adult cat, and $90 for a senior cat (over 6) We also have special pricing for bonded pairs of cats which will be listed on the biographies of those particular cats. We ask that you please fill out our questionairre which is available on our website, and read the adoption contract as well. Once we receive your adoption questionairre we will have the adoption commitee review it and a volunteer will contact you within 24 hours. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.
