And what a wonderful companion she is. As you can see from her face and ears she is part Chihuahua. It’s the part something else that gave her legs and a body just a little bit longer than a Chi’s. Being slightly larger than a Chi, however, does not make her difficult to cuddle, and this she accepts happily. She also enjoys her walks and playtime. As is a Chihuahua, Molly is fond of lying in the sun’s warmth and at naptime covering up with a blanket or two – and maybe also a pillow. She’s smart and a quick learner. She came to A Leg Up Rescue with some anxieties related to her time in a previous home, but is letting go of these quickly. Since being with us she has not been tested around children, but the answer to her behavior with young people will soon be available. She is fine with adults of both sexes and does very well living with other dogs. We suspect she would be happy as an only dog, as well. Molly is housetrained and uses a doggie door. She is about 2 years old and weighs 10 pounds. She’s up to date on vaccinations, has a microchip, and is spayed. If you would like to find out whether or not you are the person for whom Molly was saved for and with whom she should live a long and happy life, please submit an application and we will arrange for a meeting.
Molly and all of us with A Leg Up Rescue are grateful beyond expression to Annie Wong, volunteer at the shelter in Martinez, who begged for Molly’s reprieve as she lay in line waiting to die.
Please see our other available dogs at A Leg Up Rescue such as Brandi or Meara. A Leg Up Rescue must charge an adoption fee which is $200.
