My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mickey is a very sweet, 10 pound smooth coat dapple Dachshund gentleman. He was dropped off in an animal shelter's 'night drop box'. A notation on the shelter's paperwork read 'No Home', so we want to help this gentle fellow find his forever home and family. The vet thinks he's about 10 years old. He's been recently neutered and had a much-needed dental cleaning and a few extractions. Mickey's up to date on all his vaccinations too. He appears to be housetrained and takes care of business out in the yard.

Mickey's loves the lap, and will sit in your lap for snuggles and rubs as long as you want him to. He gets along great with the other dogs in his foster home and likes children. He's fine with meeting new people. He's very loving and really appreciates your affection and attention. He will follow you around the house to be near his people. We think Mickey would do best with a family where there is someone at home a good deal of the time. We don't know how Mickey will do around cats, but our guess is that he would be OK with them.

We've become very fond of this sweet boy, and we'd really like for find him a great home. We hope you have a place in your heart and in your family for our Mickey.
