Meet Houston, a big lovable guy that is looking for his forever home. Houston was born in March of this year and was left behind at his home when his family moved. Just left at the house to fend for himself – can you imagine??!! A neighbor finally reported the situation to animal control and Houston found himself in a tiny cage at the local shelter. Times are tough at most shelters these days and they stay very full. A big dog like Houston was taking up lots of space and in spite of his wonderful personality, they could not hold on to him for long. They contacted us and we just couldn’t let this handsome fellow be put down, so he came to Cedar Farm to find a real family that won’t ever desert him. Houston has now been neutered and is up to date on his shots. He is heartworm negative and on monthly preventative for heartworms, fleas and ticks. He is microchipped too. Houston knows how to sit and shake and is one of the all-time best huggers. He is a champ on leash and is very in tune with his people. He aims to please. He absolutely LOVES to play with stuffed toys and is a lot of fun. Houston plays nicely with our dogs and has been very gentle with a tiny pup we have here. Please check out his video where you can see him playing with Starsky. He walks by our cats outside but we think he would do best to be in a home with no cats.
