My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert (6 years old) and Lexi (10 years old) were both owner surrenders from the same family. Rupert is believed to be Lexi's son, but we are unsure of that fact. When they were picked up from the very, very high kill shelter that they came from (only having days to live, owner surrenders are usually on the top of the euthanasia list because the shelter knows that no one will come looking for them), they were both accompanied with a letter from the family detailing how much they cared for these dogs and how much they will be missed. They also stated that they just did not want the dogs anymore or the care that goes with them. Scratching my head and thinking to myself "hmmmmmmmmm", I am just speechless. Amazing how ignorant people can be and I am so dumbfounded that no words seem fitting for this set of circumstances. Regardless, they are both wonderful dogs and sooooooo sweet. Lexi is a smart girl and a bit more independent of her humans, but still so loving and sweet. Rupert is very loving and follows the humans around everywhere they go. He just wants the human attention and hugs and kisses. Both appear to be house trained, crate trained and medium energy dogs. Though Lexi is 10, you would never know. She is so lively and bright and has a ton of years left to her sweet life. We would like to adopt them together if possible, but can separate them if necessary. Rupert will require a bit of obedience training just to brush up on his gentle men skills. Both are altered, heartworm negative and up dated on all vaccinations. They are both micro-chipped and kept on prevention for fleas, ticks and heart worm. If you would like to adopt one or both of these precious and deserving babies, please fill out an online application and request them on the notes section.
