"Kenzy is an adorable little girl, she is house trained, sleeps through the night and eats every single morsel. She walks well on the leash with very little pulling and gets along well with other dogs. She uses the doggie door and there have been no accidents in the house and she has not chewed a thing. She is very friendly and affectionate, loves people and is not shy at all around strangers. She likes to snuggle and to be close. She has the softest coat and is just absolutely beautiful. She is also very, very smart and easy to train. She already knows sit and we are working on down and waiting by the door before going outside!"

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kenzy, a Phoenix Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
