My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marley is a sweet and affectionate puppy. He knows his basic commands and walks fairly well on a leash. He is just 7 months old and weighs just over 30 lbs. He is up to date with all vaccinations, has now been neutered and had surgery to fix his cherry eye. He is a happy and healthy pup that just needs a family to love.

Marley came from a loving home but when his owner's job change required that they travel extensively, she felt it was in Marley's best interest to find him another home.

Marley is a very intelligent dog. He is fully house and crate trained He is fairly well behaved in the home and is extremely quiet while in his crate. He would be fine left on his own for a normal working day.

Marley is an exuberant puppy with a real zest for life. He loves the companionship and playful antics of other dogs and gets along fine with cats. He is still currently teething and does like to chew, however unlike some puppies, he is very good about only chewing on his own things. His favorite toys are a peanut butter stuffed kong and his nylabone.

Like any puppy, Marley will need further training and would be a good candidate for obedience classes. He learns very quickly, is eager to please and definitely enjoys a challenge. Marley is an affectionate dog who will bond strongly with his new family. Although fairly well behaved and very gentle when accepting treats, Marley would be best in a home with older children that would enjoy being involved in his training. As he is a puppy our concern with very young children would be that he might knock them over by mistake but he is fine with respectful children of any age. He would be fine as a second dog in the home or as an only pet.

Marley will be a little smaller than an average Boxer when full grown. In his foster home Marley has been enjoying daily walks, trips to the park, socializing and learning new skills. He loves to run around and play in the backyard with his foster siblings and cuddling on the couch with his foster mom watching tv.
