Abigail's Story...
Abigail is a spayed female, long haired cat who is about 2 years old. She too was found abandoned with her kittens. She came into the shelter in a sack because the person who brought her in said that she was a crazy cat, however Abigail is nothing of the sort. She has a great personality and would be good in just about any home. When introduced to a dog she seemed a bit indifferent but a bit more on the side of scared, however she may adjust to one if she had to in her new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Port Hope Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in Port Hope, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in Port Hope.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Port Hope already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Port Hope breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Port Hope paves the way for another one to be saved.
