Posy's Story...
My name is Posy and I am about 5 months old. I was found in a cat colony and am still adjusting to life with humans, so I can be very shy at first. That being said, once I am happy in my home, I am SUCH a sweet girl! I start purring loudly as soon as someone touches me. I love to get attention, snuggle, knead, and fall asleep in your lap. I also greet my foster mom every morning and even come when my name is called! I have a lot of fun running around with my foster mom's kitty and had no problem adjusting to him, but I'm not sure that I would be happy in a home with a dog. I have great manners and have never clawed or done anything to upset my foster mom! I would love to find a patient and loving companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Posy, a Davis Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
