Zulu's Story...
Zulu was brought to the shelter from New Orleans along with his litter mates and adopted 4 months ago. Now he is back at the shelter because his owners moved and did not take him with them.

Zulu is a handsome, medium haired, black dog with a great temperment. As you can see from his pictures he loves to play with other dogs. He also loves the water.

Zulu is already house trained and is ready for a new forever hoime where he will provide great companionship and unconditional love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zulu, a Peconic Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Peconic, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Peconic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peconic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peconic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peconic paves the way for another one to be saved.
