Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It’s been many weeks since our red doberboy, “Auzzie”, made his trek as a stray from a rural animal shelter to DAR&E. His past history may be a mystery but we know he is about 3 - 4 years old; fully grown at 70 lbs; cropped / docked and has immaculate manners. This boy gets along with other dogs, is accepting of dog savvy older children, enjoys daily walks. He knows sit, shake and down. Auzzie makes himself right at home on a doggie bed, at night. Auzzie is a little hesitant about new situations but each day we watch him take on new adventures. He does best crated when left alone. We are looking for a family that will offer him daily consistencies to help his self esteem flourish; where someone is home for a good part of each day and where there are no young children in the home environment. A retired family would be ideal.
DAR&E only places within the Maryland, DC, West Virginia and Virginia area. Please do no apply to adopt if you live outside of those areas. Please visit our website (www.dobe.net) for additional information on adopting one of our DAR&E Dobermans & an online application!
