Missy's Story...
Missy is a handsome 4 year old black female with a graying muzzle. She may look like an older Greyhound but she has the heart of a youngster. She loves to race around the kennel yard and romp with the other Greyhounds. After a couple of laps around the kennel yard she's pooped and has to retreat to her soft bed for a long nap. She is ready for her new home and hopes to be completely house acclimated by the holidays.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Missy, a Gerrardstown Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Gerrardstown, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gerrardstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gerrardstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gerrardstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gerrardstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
