Sparky's Story...
Sparky is a growing boy with lots of energy. He would probably do best in an active home, maybe one with another active cat to play with. He gets along well with other cats and is very respectful of their space. Sparky loves his toys, all kinds of toys. If there are none, he will turn something into one. His favorites seem to be kitty teasers with sparkly streamers on the end. Sparky should NOT go to a home with young children as he still is in the chewy kitten stage and can't always distinguish fingers from chew toys. Other than that, he is a love with a purr that you can hear across the room and a heart of gold. Sparky is about 6 - 7 months old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparky, a Jenkintown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jenkintown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jenkintown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jenkintown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jenkintown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jenkintown paves the way for another one to be saved.
