My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Jersey and I am the best looking black lab ever to be found on the streets of the south. I am only about a year old and weigh about 55 lbs. My sad story began with me looking high and low for my puppies. You see, it was raining for days and I was full of milk and terribly skinny but I could not find my puppies. My foster parents spotted me and tried to help. We banded together to search, but could not find my babies. If I were going to survive, I knew I had to go with my rescuers and call off the search.

Since then, I have been showered with love that I never imagined existed. I enjoy a good walk and a great game of chase in the back yard. I also like helping with laundry - I am the BEST at unfolding towels! I will fetch, sit, and wait when told. I love to have my chest scratched more than anything! What sets me apart from other black labs is definitely my appreciation for life and my ambition to be a fantastic member of your family!

I love to run through puddles and to go for rides in the car! I am curious about cats in a playful way. I love toys and don't mind sharing (in fact, I love to play with other dogs!) My foster mom thinks I would be great at agility, and she says I have a beautiful soul and a loving heart!

Jersey is currently in the south but will be making her way north soon. Please visit our web site to find out about our adoption process.
