My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hero, he's approx 5 ys old and around 50 lbs. Hero is a sweetheart of a dog, very loving and loyal. When picked up, he immediately rolled on his back for a tummy rub. While watching a girl in his foster home swimming laps, he tried to rescue her, seemingly concerned that she might need him to do so. He gently took her wrist and guided her to safety, she called him, “My Hero.”

Hero is house and crate trained, seems good with other dogs and ok with cats! He loves attention and just wants to be petted and loved on. Nice gentle boy who would fit into any household! Good with kids!

Hero’s nose area and eye lids appear sunburned; his condition could be related to benign Lupus Discoid requiring supplements such as Omega 3 and Vitamin E plus topical sunscreen and limited sun exposure. I've placed several dogs with this condition and all are doing wonderfully! He'll just need to be limited to sun exposure. He recently had a complete work up, blood and urine and all checks out good.

Hero is currently fostered in Palm Harbor.

Our adoption fee is $250.00 (over 10 yrs $125.00), this helps cover some of the dogs expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date with vaccinations, heartworm tested and on preventative. You must be willing to travel to the dog to meet/adopt .
