My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are full here at Mureille's Place and can not take in 13yr old Dewey but are posting her to try and help find her a home. She will go to the pound if we can't find her a home quickly. Please don't let that happen!

Dewey lived at a kennel for 3 years with a few male dogs before she was adopted. I can only guess it was at a breeder. For 10 years poor Dewey has been bounced from one family member to another due to various reasons that were not her fault. The family states that everyone loved this dog and they did their best to try and keep her which was why she moved from family member to family member.

Until August, she was with the 28 yr old daughter, but she had a baby and couldn't handle taking care of the baby and a dog so Dewey is currently living with the parents of this girl. The seniors apt complex has a strict rule about large dogs and the landlord is enforcing the rule. Dewey needs to find a place to go to as soon as possible or she will go to the shelter. We don't have alot of time.

I met 13 yr old Dewey back in August when they were looking to place her. After talking for an hour, the family decided to keep her. She is a very nice dog. She is potty trained but like most senior dogs, would benefit from extra potty breaks. She will get into the trash can some times but they said she would do that if she was left alone for a long time and got anxious.

I would love to see Dewey as the only dog in her new home...her FINAL home. She deserves this after everything she has gone through. I know she would love to have a home where someone could spoil her and give her lots of attention.

She is spayed and up to date on her shots. Like alot of senior dogs, she has some tumors, but they have been tested and are benign.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about this sweet girl and provide her with a forever home. She is located in Kingston, PA and I can arrange a meet and greet. Thank you for taking the time to read about Dewey. If you can not help her, please share her story with your friends and family. We need as many people as we can get to help find her a home.
