Drake's Story...
Intake: November 28, 2010

Drake is a handsome young dog who came to us from animal control with his buddy Finnigan. Drake is a well behaved dog who seems to have had some training. Drake could use a brush up on leash training, as he tends to pull quite a lot. Drake would enjoy a canine friend to play with, so long as they are carefully introduced. Drake is a medium sized dog who would make a wonderful addition to almost any home.

*Update Dec. 23: Drake has proved to be one of the more well behaved dogs in the shelter, and is a real sweetheart. He and Finnigan get along so well that we would like to offer an incentive for them to be adopted together, $250 for both!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Drake, a Morden Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Morden, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Morden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morden paves the way for another one to be saved.
