Spice's Story...
The lovely Ms. Spice (oh so nice) is living in foster care and here is what her foster mom has to say:

She's a princess (in the good way) and she knows it. Sweet and playful. Active-likes to explore. Rarely stops moving if you're in the room and have made eye-contact. LOVES attention and snuggling. Chirps a lot. Purrs LOUDLY almost all the time.. DOES NOT jump on the counters (at least while I'm watching). Loves to play but loves being petted more.
Can be a bit bossy with the other kitty - she is a diva - so a home with doggies would be fine and even a soft male kitty but would be just fine as an only lady as well.

Spice is fixed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is about 5 years old.
Her adoption fee is $100

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spice, a Portland Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Portland, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
