Bruiser's Story...
Bruiser may be a small dog, but his heart is as big as they come! His favorite thing in the world is to give and receive affection, and whoever offers him a forever home will find a loyal and loving companion. He came to the rescue group from an overcrowded shelter, where no one noticed his limp (caused by his kneecap popping out of place). However, he is almost good as new, thanks to being such a good boy during the surgery and healing process. Now he loves to go on walks and play with his dog and cat friends, running around in the yard or carrying his toys back and forth. Bruiser was a little nervous when he first came to his foster home (he probably didn’t have it so easy in the shelter or wherever he was before), but he has improved tremendously and continues to do so, especially with more one-on-one time. Overall, Bruiser is a very happy dog who will bestow you with love and devotion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bruiser, a Castro Valley Pug/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Boxer for sale in Castro Valley, or seeking a Pug/Boxer dog from a breeder in Castro Valley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Castro Valley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Castro Valley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Boxer breeders who help with Pug/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Castro Valley paves the way for another one to be saved.
