My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Please note: we do not have a physical location, we are supported by a network of wonderful foster homes that are spread throughout New England. A dog will need to be visited by a prospective adopter in the foster home where they are feeling safe and comfortable.**

Where do we begin about Fiona? She is an amazing girl. All of the volunteers who have been fortunate enough to spend time with her say that she is wonderful. She loves to cuddle and wants to please her people. She loves to play with humans and be with humans. In fact, she is more into humans than dogs, although she has lived with dogs successfully.

Fiona is EXTREMELY bright. She was in her foster home for one day and when her foster mom got the treat bag out, Fiona knew it was time to go into her crate.

Fiona is not a barker and is housetrained. She is very agile and can jump, but is not a jumpy dog. She loves to sit on her bottom and put her paws on your shoulders as if she is giving you a hug. She can't get close enough to a person, but if you want your space, all you have to do is tell her no and ignore her and she will go somewhere else and lay down.

She respects furniture and will not get on it unless invited. She shares food quite well in the foster home with the other dog and respects that dog's place in the pack. When they play ping-pong, Fiona loves to run from side to side watching the ball...and if it falls on the floor, she scoops it up. In the house she is not a chewer. They have Christmas stuff everywhere and shoes sitting about. She has never offered to chew on anything.

Fiona, who is approximately 4 years of age and, is a very gentle dog. She is not timid or skittish and has been exposed to many new people, always greeting them readily. Fiona has not been around cats so we are not sure if she is good with them at this point.
