Chance's Story...
Chance is a tiny 2 year old Sheltie male, weighing in at 10 lbs. His owner turned him in to Rescue because their busy schedule didn't allow time to give him the attention he needs and deserves. He is very active, friendly with other dogs, and loves people! Chance knows lots of tricks, is house broken, and really loves to play. He will empty the toy box out and bring you each toy one at a time. Chance is in the Orange County area. To sponsor him, please make a donation on our website or email us for more information. To adopt him, please fill out our application so the appropriate volunteer can get back to you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chance, a La Habra Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog for sale in La Habra, or seeking a Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog dog from a breeder in La Habra.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Habra already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Habra breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog breeders who help with Sheltie, Shetland Sheepdog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Habra paves the way for another one to be saved.
