Muffy looks to be a cross between a Maine Coon and a Norwegian Forest cat, with Lynx points on her ears. She is approximately nine years old, and came to us after much hardship. She didn’t get vet care, healthy food, attention, love, or even clean litter. After recovering a bit (her hair was badly matted and needed a lot of clean-up and care), Muffy is enjoying a cozy home and all the comforts of loving people to dote on her.
Despite all of the hardship she’s been through, Muffy is good-natured and just loves her people. In fact, she got her name from making "muffins," one of her favorite activities when she’s cuddled up on your chest or lap. She is looking to be an “only cat” as she is aggressive towards other cats.
Muffy can make a toy out of anything. She pounces and plays, leaps and twirls, and generally just keeps herself well entertained. Her foster parents often hear the "thrum, thrum" sound of her paws as she races back and forth across the upstairs floors. She loves catnip toys as well as little mousy toys, ribbons, etc. Muffy is happy to help you on the computer too, though she quickly gets the hint when put down.
Muffy is looking for a home where she can sleep on the bed with her people. When her foster mom gets up in the middle of the night, Muffy trills to let her know where she is (the better not to step on the kitty in the dark!). Muffy is especially fond of belly rubs and will flop down on her back almost anywhere to offer up her belly, even if she is a ways away from where you happen to be!
Muffy, like all ARCF cats for adoption, has been spayed, microchipped, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for FeLV and FIV.
