Gabby's Story...
Hi! I'm Gabby! They tell me I am a 7 month old mix of breeds like German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd. I am on the smaller (or I prefer to call it "petite") side weighing in at 40 pounds. BDBH pulled me from a shelter in North Carolina where my brother Gabe (who has since been adopted) and I were when we were abandoned by our original owners.

I love to play with other dogs and I also play nice with kitties! I am friendly with all people, although I may seem shy at first, I warm up quickly and show you my very sweet side. I especially love the little ones and have been very gentle with all children I have met.

My foster mom has been working on my commands and training but I am looking for a forever home who will continue to love me and help me grow into a wonderful adult dog. I will be a great companion to a family who is looking for sweet young lady full that is full of love!

For more information on Gabby, pleasce contact her foster mom: pickadilee@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Rochester/Buffalo Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd for sale in Rochester/Buffalo, or seeking a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Rochester/Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rochester/Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rochester/Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Border Collie/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rochester/Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
