Cynthia (good kitty)'s Story...
I was brought to FERAL FELINE RETREAT with 5 2-day old kittens..I nursed my babies and of course they all got adopted...then I nursed 5 more litters for the group...I guess you could call me the ULTIMATE MOTHER..anyway..now it's my turn to find a wonderful hom. I'm only 1 year old...what a life I've had. I'm very sweet. When I came to the group, I only weighed 4# and now I weigh 10#...so I'm healthy, happy and ready to go to a loving home and be treated to a wonderful life...don't you think I deserve it. My babies all went to wonderful home...so I should also. Please, please!!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cynthia (good kitty), a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
