Julius's Story...
In 2003 on a wet, windy, stormy night I was dumped at the beach. Why? I'm a great cat. Short story: An allergic tourists found me and reported it to a supermarket who knew the kindness of F.A.T. Cat Haven folks. A call was made to them. They arrived with flashlights and called "here kitty, kitty", I figured that must be me and came running. They renamed me Julius because I couldn't tell them what my name really was. Julius fits me because of my beautiful orange fur. I am extremely friendly. I've never been a problem, but I'm not partial to being brushed or having my nails trimmed. Now I'm warm, always have food and people who love me. But I would really like to have my own forever home and a special person to love. Are you the lap for me? I will definitely fill it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Julius, a Crescent City Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Crescent City, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Crescent City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Crescent City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Crescent City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Crescent City paves the way for another one to be saved.
