Ryan's Story...
Say hello to Ryan. Ryan is around 7 months old but he has had a rough start to life.

Ryan was being severely abused by his previous owner so the woman who is fostering him asked his owners if she could have him and thankfully they agreed.

Ryan is a great dog who gets along with dogs and cats. He loves people, even though they have failed him in the past.

He is crate trained and housebroken, he even knows how to sit. Ryan weighs 50lbs but is gaining some much needed weight.

Ryan has already been neutered, he is up to date on his shots, and he is heartworm negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ryan, a Marion Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Marion, or seeking a Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Chesapeake Bay Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
