Melo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, and up to date with shots.

Melo's Story...
Melo is as calm and sweet at his name-Melo (rhymes with Yellow). He is a 3 year old neutered male that is current on his shots and heart worm negative.

At night he sleeps in a little crate in foster moms bedroom in a dog bed totally covered up with a fleece blankie. He's been sleeping from about 10-10:30 at night to 8 in the morning without interruption. He plays BIG TIME with toys, chasing toys, tug of war, and running and tossing in the air. He tries to play with the other IGs here and they will a little. He is like a shadow, and has to be in the same room with his foster mom.
He doesn't like anyone to pick him up but likes to come up to you and get petted. He wants to sit on your lap on the couch and recliner and will snuggle for hours.

Melo is doing excellent on potty habits and is not a marker, he is a real sweet heart and a joy to have around. He would prefer a fenced yard, and no kids under 8 please. Currently Melo is being fostered in Wichta KS.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melo, a Wichita Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Italian Greyhound for sale in Wichita, or seeking a Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Wichita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wichita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wichita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wichita paves the way for another one to be saved.
