I am a beautiful little girl named Nellie. I was found wandering on the street, taken to the county shelter and then fostered by the San Diego Bulldog Rescue. I'm probably about three years old. I am very sweet and love nothing better than to lay on the couch with my head on your lap. I love to be around people. I get along with kids, but I do like to jump and play bite (sometimes a little hard). I am working on this habit and my foster parents say I've improved a lot. I'd be better for families with kids over 12. My previous owners used me for breeding so my teets hang low, but should recede over time as the milk dries out. Despite this, I am still very cute. I get along with dogs and love to lay down and nap next to my foster brother. I am house-trained, but I do get excited at times and piddle. I am working on this. I'm an "action" bulldog, lean and a bi taller than most bulldogs so I need some exercise. I am very bright and learn quickly. I would love a forever home with someone who is kind, patient and motivated to continue my training.
Love, Nellie

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nellie, a San Diego English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Bulldog for sale in San Diego, or seeking a English Bulldog dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Bulldog breeders who help with English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
