Janie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Janie's Story...
Janie was abandoned by her owners and recently rescued from another shelter. This lovable little lady is about 3 years old. She shows no aggression to dogs and cats and spends her days in a run with her friend Lilly, another dog at the shelter.

Janie loves to be around people and is very sweet and affectionate. She would love nothing better than to have a home of her own.

Please come visit Janie at the shelter. You won't be sorry you did.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Janie, a Peconic German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Peconic, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Peconic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peconic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peconic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peconic paves the way for another one to be saved.
