My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Big Mama is a precious and wonderful American Bulldog who is about 6-7 years old. Her attitude toward life comes out in the form of a great temperament with lots of love to give. She is cute as a bug despite being a smidge overweight. Her short white coat is decorated with black/brown spots, one is even in the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head! Her current foster mom is a jogger therefore we expect her weight problem to get under control in no time.

Big Mama is a cuddler supreme. She enjoys walks and then quality time with her human(s). She does great with other dogs, too, and currently lives with a Jack Russell mix puppy. When it’s time to walk, we jiggle the leash and Big Mama comes a’running. Romping in a fenced-in yard is also a welcomed treat; it of course is more playful & enjoyable for her when her human(s) is there to spend time with her. She enjoys car rides, too, and doesn’t get car sick. Even with her short stature, she has no issues getting into an SUV.

She checked into Camp July 2009 after her mom was in a wheelchair due to a car accident. She had been found in the summer of 2008 on a lonely rural road with her litter of puppies and taken in by her first mom. She was such a lovely dear that the mom couldn’t bear to part with her until she was forced to in 2009. She was quickly adopted from Camp but that adopting family has returned her due to a child who developed allergies. Despite her multiple homes, Big Mama’s love for life and humans and four-legged friends hasn’t faltered. Like a fine wine, Big Mama gets better with age. Now she needs to find a home that will let her continue to age gracefully for the rest of her life.

Big Mama is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, current on heartworm preventatives as well as flea/tick preventatives.
