My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for a real gentle giant then Sal could just be the dude for you. He is still a pup at heart and still has that clumsy puppiness about him when he gambols around but he is not at all hyper or overly bouncy. Sal is a big boy, currently topping 80lbs and he looks like he still has a bit of growing to do and definately still has some filling out to do. Sal was abandoned by his former owners and picked up as a stray. He most likely suffered some abuse because if you speak to him harshly he cringes and lies down so he definately needs an owner willing to show him the ropes without being too harsh.

Sal has very nice manners for a young man (he takes treats very gently and rides quietly in the car), he is working on sitting every time he is asked to do so but does know what sit means. He is definately a dog that would love an outdoorsy family where he could go on long walks and he loves being outside.

Sal does show a strong prey instinct so we are recommending that he not be in a home with cats or other small critters since he would really like to chase them.
