My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Albus is a wonderful male Great Pyrenees. He was found as a stray in Tennessee about a year ago and the family who took him in moved with him to northern Minnesota. Due to changes within the family they had decided to surrender Albus to the Northstar Great Pyrenees rescue. Albus is housebroken, up-to-date on his vaccinations, has been neutered and has been microchipped. He is estimated to be about two or three years old and he weighs about seventy pounds.

Albus is currently staying with a foster family and has shown that he has a great personality. He is living with two other pyrs, a rabbit, a tortoise and two people. He seems to fit perfectly with everyone in the household. He quickly established a strong relationship with the other pyrs and with the rabbit and he was the first dog to ever take notice of the tortoise. He loves to interact with people and always wants to be included. His previous family stated that he is also great with children and that he loves cats.

Albus has a sweet and caring disposition. He is passive but he isn’t shy. He seems to be very observant and interested in the world around him. He thoroughly enjoys going for walks and does very well on a leash. He would most likely enjoy hiking if he were given the opportunity. He is starting to learn “sit” and listens very well. Albus wants to be close and loves to be petted and to receive attention. He even enjoys being brushed. He is a typical pyr and barks in a protective marnner. He doesn’t ask for much and he is very grateful for what he is given.
Albus is very energetic and active for a pyr and he is always eager to play. He loves to chew on or play with a rope and he is often puppy-like when he is feeling particularly playful. He is very persuasive in getting the other pyrs to rough-house with him so his foster parents kennel him while they are away. He does well outside of his kennel at night. He loves to lay on piles of blankets on the floor and he enjoys laying on the couch. At bedtime he also enjoys cuddling or sharing a pillow.

Albus is a very good boy. He is sweet, grateful and affectionate. He just wants a place to call home with a family who is devoted to him. Secure visible fencing for playtime, an adoption application, home visit, and adoption fee are required to adopt Albus.
