My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Joy is a tiny treasure, a shaded silver Persian who was found by one of our volunteers in a southern California shelter. She had one day left before euthanasia and once we found out about her, there was no way we could leave her there to die.

When Joy first came to us, she had a wound on her back, we had her vetted and surgery was performed along with stitches and now Joy is good as new.

She's a very quiet kind of kitty, but she loves her people. She will let you hold her and when you do, she hugs you, pressing her tiny little face against yours and getting as close as she can. Joy also loves to have her tummy rubbed and her chin scratched.

Her hair is soft and fluffy and she has the most amazing eyes. Pictures do not do her eyes justice, they are a sort of jade green mixed with turquoise blue, absolutely stunning in person.

Joy loves sleeping with her humans and will park at the top of your head on the pillow or she might prefer to sleep on your tummy. She's the queen biscuit maker, too. Her meow is so tiny, you can barely hear it and she's not pushy at all. She's a very dignified little kitty and a soft stepping kind of girl. We can't imagine anyone not falling in love with her as we have.

Joy has been around very nice dogs and while she doesn't love them, they don't seem to bother her, either.

Joy must be in a home with at least one other kitty, she doesn't like to be alone. A multicat household is a must for her.
