Oliver's Story...
Look at me! My name is Oliver. Am I not the cutest, most playful kitty you ever did see?? I am a very lucky kitten. When I was a tiny baby, I was abandoned in the street. After a short stay in the Radford City Shelter, a very nice Pound Pals lady took me home, cuddled me, and is keeping me most happy and healthy! . And, I get to play with so many toys! I’m looking for my furever home, and would love for you to apply for me. You may do so online at and write the Pound Pals volunteers at for more info about me. Oh yeah, I thought I’d mention that I’m about 5 months old, neutered, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLeuk negative. I’m just a great all around package, if I do say so myself!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver, a Radford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Radford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
