Duke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Duke's Story...
They call me Duke because I’m such an aristocrat, but maybe my name should really be Easy.  I’m easy about everything.  At 6 to 8 years old, I‘ve learned not to sweat the small stuff and that it’s all small stuff.  I even like small dogs, along with small children and everyone and everything else!  If you want to go for a walk, a hike, or stay home and watch a movie, I’m with you.  But, if you’re looking for a Golden boy who doesn’t need a lot of exercise, I’m your guy!
I know sit, shake, to sit to have my leash put on, and I’m learning to come when they call me.  I’m house trained and use a dog door.  I do like to play fetch and tug of war.  Rope toys are my favorites.  I’m easy about other dogs, and I’ve not been tested with cats.  Other dogs may growl at me or be aggressive otherwise and I just aristocratically ignore them.  Sometimes I simply must insist that I need to be petted but mostly I am just… easy.
I don’t have any issues that might concern you.  I’m just a fabulous Golden who is looking for love and a forever home.  So contact AZGRC and tell them that you want to be introduced to the Golden Duke!  I’d like to look at you with my big eyes and my big Golden smile, put my paw on your leg, and tell you just why I should be your dog!
Training:  Basic commands, uses door door, housebroken
Compatibility: Other dogs OK, Kids OK
Activity Level:  Moderate

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Scottsdale Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
