black Jack's Story...
Here is what his foster mom has to say:
"Blackjack is looking for a special forever home as he enters his twilight years. He is approximately 10 years old and blind but handles it with such courage and grace that it’s easy to forget he has this handicap. Blackjack seems to have that special sense of his surroundings and gets along just fine. He steals everyone’s heart that he comes in contact with. All who meet him are in awe of his abilities. He is housetrained but has no problem using a wee wee pad should you run late in getting home to let him out. He is a precious, sweet little boy who has not a mean bone in his body. Although very patient, he would likely do better in a home with older children. Blackjack gets along well with other dogs, is not a picky eater and will give you kisses for every kiss you give him. The three things in life Blackjack loves more than anything are belly rubs, eating and a soft bed to lie his head down on. If you are looking for a mellow, well behaved pet with a heart of gold, Blackjack is your man. Please give him a chance at a forever home."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

black Jack, a Hammonton Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Hammonton, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Hammonton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hammonton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hammonton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hammonton paves the way for another one to be saved.
