Note: Bo is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates rescue program. We are listing him as a courtesy to his owner.
Bo is a Husky/German Shepherd mix that I need to rehome. I adopted him from the shelter in October. He is between 3-4 years old. Very sweet boy, loves kids and other dogs. I did not research the husky breed before I adopted him like I should have. I have had shepherds all my life and melted when I saw his face. I think he is probably 90% husky though. He loves to run and I live on a very busy road so I am scared he will be hit. I tried an invisible fence but he runs through the shock and the only way I can get him back is to open the door on my truck to go for a ride. I am trying to find a new home for Bo because he deserves the best, and if you don't know the breed he will be in the same situation. I made a mistake adopting a dog without researching if he would fit in my home but I want to make it right. Can you help? He is neutered and up to date on vaccines.
There will be a $200 rehoming fee. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out and submit our
online application. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required.
All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification. A fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and the height must be a minimum of 5 feet. We do not adopt dogs to homes with invisible fences.
