Callie's Story...
Meet Callie, the wonder girl! She's an affectionate young Pit Bull mix looking for her new forever home. A definite smarty-pants, she's already trained at 12 months, but would love further learning or activities to keep her brain ticking. Having grown up with small children, Callie is social with people of all ages. She's also wonderful around other dogs and cats. This sweet girl has grown up in foster care, and doesn't want to wait another day before finding a forever home!

Being fostered in Morris, IL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Peoria American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Peoria, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Peoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Peoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Peoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Peoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
