My story

Urgent! Scooby is not in the Closer to Home Animal Advocates rescue program. We are trying to help this boy get out of the pound and into a new home before February 1.


Scooby is a 1-year-old neutered male Mountain Cur mix. He is a very sweet dog that needs to be in a home with a fenced yard. This is a working dog and should be with someone that will take him on walks and make sure he gets some exercise. He previously lived with a family with children and we were told he is good with kids and housetrained. He is up to date on all vaccinations and is ready to find a new, loving home!

All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on all vaccinations, heartworm tested, on heartworm preventative year-round, and microchipped for identification. A fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and the height must be a minimum of 5 feet. We do not adopt dogs to homes with invisible fences.
